The 1st Team's first home match of the season was possibly the most eagerly anticipated, seeing them face city rivals University Of Nottingham. Despite their long unbeaten record in Varsity matches NTU hadn't won any of the last five league meetings and knew a win this time out would put them in pole position early in the league campaign
